I can see him having respect just from his playing days adding in his coaching record in junior and I think he ll have great control of the team. Also think be will be amazing for Varly who I think has the tools to be elite. This team is starting to look like a young version of the cup teams if you do side by side comparison.

Its not even that, its more when you see his interviews you can just tell that him as a person is almost destined to be an amazing coach. If you think of all of the best coaches of all time, they all just had this special something and I see that in Roy.

I guess one way to put it is that you know he is going to get the most out of every single player, which is something that the Avs didn't have with Sacco.

I don't think its like that. I think the team just understands how much Sakic and Roy have actually managed to accomplish as players and how much they can actually learn from them. There is definitly respect, however I don't think they are worried about upsetting them. Even Roy addressed that in his interview today.

I'm going to be watching a lot more Avs games this year. This team is looking more and more like a future contender every year.
